Gundam Seed Destiny is also known as Kidou Senshi Gundam SEED DESTINY, and is the sequel to the popular Gundam SEED. Again, it is directed by Mitsuo Fukuda, and licensed by Bandai Enterprises/The Ocean Group (English release) and Sotsu Agency/Sunrise (Japan).The story takes place in Cosmic Era 73, three years after the Yakin Due battle in Gundam SEED. Asuka Shinn, a coordinator who lost his parents and younger sister, Mayu, during the seige at ORB (again, a battle that took place in the Gundam SEED storyline), becomes one of the elite pilots of ZAFT, along with Rey Za Burrel and Lunamaria Hawke. Similar to the start of Gundam SEED, three pilots, namely Stellar Loussier, Sting Oakley, and Auel Neider, steal three ZAFT mobile suits, the Gaia Gundam, Chaos Gundam, and Abyss Gundam. This marks the beginning of another war.
