this site's history

This site started initially as a shrine back in January 2, 2005. I just got into the Gundam SEED anime then, and I was instantly drawn to the relationship of Kira and Athrun. I decided to make a fansite to them to spread the AsuKira love; however, back then I didn't have a domain yet.
So, I posted up a message at the Anime Fanlistings Message Board asking for someone to host my shrine. Thankfully, the lovely Zee responded, and she got my site hosted up at her Just-Peachy domain! Then, Freedom x Justice stayed there for slightly more than a year.
Okay, let's backtrack a bit. Just after I started the fansite, the Athrun and Kira relationship fanlisting at the Anime Fanlistings became open for applications. When the TAFL staff approved me, I immediately got to work on my fanlisting and named it Shin' yuu, and launced it on January 30, 2005. It, too, stayed in Zee's domain. :)
When I finally convinced my dad to buy me a domain and some space on the net, I transferred the fanlisting to its new home, the now expired asuran.net. The fansite, meanwhile, stayed in Zee's domain because I thought I didn't have enough space on mine (note that I was on a fanlisting application spree back then).
Then I decided to cut back on my fanlistings, applying only for subjects I would absolutely love to have. I adopted out some, also, to lessen the number of sites on my domain. So, with newly found free space, I finally decided to move the site to asuran.net as well, and combine it with the shrine for easier access.
Cost-cutting and current server problems recently made me decide to move to a better, more environment-friendly server, so here we are now, with a brand-new url to boot. :3 Co-owned with Masao because she's awesome and a hard-core fan too. ♥

about the layouts

• Index page: Image from Minitokyo.net. Image editing and slicing done in Adobe Photoshop 8.0 (Creative Suite) and coded in Notepad.
• Gray: The image editing and graphics were done in Adobe Photoshop 8.0 (Creative Suite) and coded in Notepad. The fonts used are Aquiline and Carpenter CGI, both downloaded from Da Font. Image from a doujinshi scan I got from somewhere. *swt*
  At first this layout was just for the shrine part of Freedom x Justice, but then I decided to merge the fanlisting and fansite into one area so it won't be such a hassle to move from one site to another. :)
• Treasure: The image editing and graphics were done in Adobe Photoshop 8.0 (Creative Suite) and coded in Notepad. The fonts used are Aquiline, which could be downloaded from Da Font. Image from Kidou Senshi Gundam SEED Suit CD one, which can be downloaded at the gallery or at Project Blitz. Brushes from echoica and background from Squidfingers.
  If you read my rants, you'd know that this is my favorite Athrun and Kira moment, so it was natural that I made a layout featuring the popular sakura blossom scene. :)
• Moment: The image editing and graphics were done in Adobe Photoshop CS2 and coded in Notepad. The fonts used are MilkyWell and Print Clearly, which can be downloaded from Da Font. Images from Hisashi Hirai Illustration Works. Background pattern by 77words.
  I love those images and it was a plus that they had no messy backgrounds to clean from. I love my artbooks xD
